Always have a darker sin at the tip of your tongue. Be ready to admit it. Not eager, not like it was in waiting. Just casually drop the bigger bomb. This way, whenever you stand accused of some minor indiscretion (guilty or no), you can just relent some darker evil of the self and thereby belittle what was a moment ago, a great character stain. Muddle your own waters. If you keep stirring up your own puddle, then they’ll never be able to muddy you further. Nor see the bottom. How deep are murky waters? Be there spiked rocks or algae ridden silt? Letting it settle creates heterogeneity. This is your enemy. Differentiation. Paint your canvas so large that details fail. When some new color shows, drop in the black dye and watch it all blend. Unrecognizable. And therefore, simple. What can they point to? Make what was discovered involuntarily so very small in comparison to what is given willingly. Confound them to what is still hidden. Imagine, if this is what is given up, just what horror is held genuinely to heart?
